Why did my Xbox uninstall and delete my profile?

I turned my console on after about 3days of being off. When I came back my console wasn’t connected to the internet, my profile was deleted, all but 3 games were uninstalled, and now running extremely slow. Did I get hacked or something? Or is my console showing its age?

Did you perform the console reset keeping games?

If so, how did it behave after that?

It is quite unusual for your console to have deleted some content itself, does no one else have access to it and was able to delete the content?

You can try this process to see if it can help correct the problem with performance.

Go to Settings>System>Console Information

And restart keeping your games.

Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you will need to have the email and password for each account to log back in.

Your progress, achievements, purchases and other data will remain intact, don't worry about that, you won't lose any data, the only thing you need to do is to log in again.

I noticed that my external hard drive stopped working. Which had everything on it.

I totally uninstalled the game then reinstalled and that didn't work ,after deleting all Xbox apps and reinstalling that didn't work ,but what did work was creating a shortcut to my desktop no idea why that would make a difference but it did
