Why did my xbox make clicking noises?

Not sure about either, it's currently been on for a few hours today and has not made the sound yet.

Maybe just in case I should take it to get it cleaned?

Hello again, as it is already 2 years old should not be under warranty, if it notices any performance decline, in games, navigation can use the paid repair service from Microsoft, if but if you want can also send to some technical assistance in your region.

Hello SandyPlayz86, it is not normal for it to emit sounds of this type, but from what you can hear it seems that the sounds come from the console fan, as if it were hitting something while spinning?

Is there anything else that there's a possibility that something's entered into the console?

Does the sound continue even after a long time on, or does it disappear when it starts playing?
