Why did my worlds get deleted on Minecraft

Did any of you by chance manually delete worlds in the saves folder instead of deleting them on Minecraft?

Thank you! But that did not work either. I can try deleting and re-downloading Minecraft, but I always lose all of my worlds when I do that. Is there a way I can delete it and re-download it without losing all of my worlds?

Sorry to say but you can't get the world back. When you delete a world in minecraft it stays deleted.
