Why did my VIP stars drop?

In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. In September 2015, we made some refinements to the
program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds.You were placed into your MyVIP ranks based off of your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/). Our
next MyVIP re-calibration is set to occur after the end of December.

Yeah mine dropped to 0!

A. In September, a year after we first launched MyVIP, we re-evaluated the program and made adjustments where necessary. In order to respond to our growing membership numbers and expanded regions, we adjusted the levels of MyVIP to better focus on offering
additional monthly missions and other ways to earn for more members around the globe. We are also focused on adding more ways to Reward our most loyal VIP members with additional special offers and VIP Exclusives events.

Ranks reset each year. They were just reset on January 1. In order to keep your star level, you either need to spend the same amount or more each year on the marketplace.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least 200 GBP or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).

However, we see that you have never had a MyVIP star for your account. Also, your account was created after MyAchievements was discontinued, so your achievements/gamerscore would not affect payback. We have reviewed your purchases, and see that you are at
62.37 in eligible spending so far this year. Last year (September 2015 - December 2016), you had 0.00 in eligible spending, so we're not quite sure what could have caused this confusion. It looks like you were looking at the default value that appears when
user's are not logged in that is dimly visible in the background.
