Why did my money disappear from my Microsoft account?

I had $10 and some change on my account. Now it's saying I only have $2.22. I already checked my order history, no order was made without my knowledge. I always check my balance after each purchase. I want my $8 back Microsoft. I also know it wasn't about to expire as it was only on the account for 2 days. How will this be fixed!?

I have an xbox 360 and today xbox made my day by sending a free 5$ gift code. I entered the code and all. I try to buy a game and tells me I dont have noo money l, please xbox if you can help me get those 5$ back I will appreciate it. Thank you

Sorry to hear it. However, support was incorrect in sending you here. Anything to do with billing must be handled via phone support. No one here can get access at all to anything regarding your account.

Give them a call instead of using online support for further assistance. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269.

In the meantime log in to commerce.microsoft.com to see if the billing history shows any purchases that you weren't aware of. Perhaps someone else in the house made purchases on your account when you weren't around.
