Are you trying to use a custom picture using the Xbox mobile app?

I'm sorry to hear that your custom gamer pic is not being uploaded using the Xbox mobile app. To be honest, I haven't seen a notification like that before just one along the lines that says "It'll take a moment to upload your picture while we check it."

Have you been able to set a custom gamer pic using the app before or is this your first time? I've had a similar issue once where the pic was not being uploaded after submitting and I wouldn't get any message. I re-installed the app, waited 24 hours and
the picture was uploaded so it seems the app was glitching and the upload got stuck somewhere and then eventually was displayed automatically.

If you haven't done so I recommend restarting your device and re-installing the app. Also, try a different picture and see if that makes a difference.
