    Why did my console wipe my friends list?


    My friends list was originally frozen so I took the steps to unfreeze it. I first did a power cycle and nothing, still had the same issue. After, it was recommended to reset my console so I did, and after I got my profile back on the Xbox my friends list was completely wiped now telling me I have no friends online and doesn’t even show pfp or names anymore

    Yeah I reset (Keep my games and apps) my NAT type is open and it says I have good connection and the same for multiplayer connection I’ve also reset my router and still nothing. This issue only started to happen about a week ago but I don’t usually play on week days so I probably haven’t noticed till now

    That's weird. You mentioned that you already reset your console, did you mean about the factory reset (keep my games & apps?

    Also, let's check if your internet connection has no issues with your console.
    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
    Select Test network connection, Test Multiplayer, and Test NAT type.

    Let me know the results.

    Please power cycle your modem/router as well. Unplug it from the power source and wait at least a minute before turning it back on.

    I checked with the link you sent and it shows my friends. Also my Xbox app shows my friends just not my Xbox. I tried un-adding some of my friends and adding them back but that only worked for about 30 min and my friends list froze again

    First, please confirm on https://account.xbox.com/Profile website if you could see your friend's list. Please also check your account from the Xbox app on mobile if you could see your friend's list.

    On the other hand, try to sign in a different profile to your Xbox console to check if other account's friend's list is showing or not.
