Why did Microsoft take away the notification for favorites going online on the Xbox app?

We would like to know if you are referring to the notification settings on the Xbox app. These are the settings that you can change on the Xbox app notifications. You can do this by going to Xbox app>Settings>Notifications.

Notifications - The following items can be adjusted:

• Favorite online (notifies you when favorite friends are online).
• Twitch broadcast started (notifies you when favorite friends start broadcasting).
• Message (notifies you when you get a new message).

If you are referring to the notification of the Xbox Live from the control center is currently not available. We recommend that you submit or send this as a suggestion feature for the Xbox app. You may submit this request to our Xbox Feedback Hub. To do

Give us the option to get notifications from our favorites when they sign in.

It is really annoying to snap the activity feed to see who has gotten online.

There are more things i dislike about the xbox one compared to the 360 but please don't take this away.

Hi! While I don't know for sure, I'd assume that the Xbox app for iOS offers this feature (if it works the same as the android app) as long as you have added your sons account as a friend/favorite and enabled notifications when your friends/favorites go

Friend notifications are coming hopefully in the next update:

You can also favorite any friends you want to know about, and then snap the activity app. This will tell you when they log on.
