Why did Microsoft remove Diablo 4 from my account and say I'm being refunded?

I understand what you are feeling as a fellow gamer, we all just wanted to get what we paid for. With regards to the message you received that the payment for the game has been refunded, it will only happen if the payment method used to preorder the game has failed, or if the bank has disputed the transaction.

These are the only case a game will get refunded from your account. Have you tried checking via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders page to see if the status of your order is also saying this that it is refunded? If your payment provided didn't do a chargeback or dispute. I would suggest to contact Xbox team via https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us as well to know what really happened with the order.

Just click on "Contact us" > I need help preordering content > Type "Support" > Choose "See contact options" and from there you may chat or request a callback from the Xbox team.

I would suggest to go for chat instead as it is much faster for me in my opinion than to wait for a callback.

Hello, my official account tag: Da_ReLLiK was formerly banned till 9999 (so I have a long wait ahead!). What concerned me more is despite being told my XLive payments would cease and also me asking XBOX Live to cancel several times (as they promised), they
have been charging me for the service non-stop regardless. I have been charged since October 2012 to-date! So concerned at this theft got talking to the Microsoft billing team whom gave me this reference number
[Mod Removed] of our convo. They assured me my payments since October 2012 will be refunded in full but the only problem is that Microsoft has made it difficult for banned accounts to be accessed for any refunds? Why?

Anyway, I would like a refund (from October 2012 to October 2014) as my bank states that it is negligence on Microsofts part and only Microsoft can refund me in full: This is my sons Live account and tag I'm currently using as my: Da_ReLLiK ([Mod

*My XLive account was banned as well as my console, my Microsoft points taken plus no replies to my numerous emails simply for playing a Video Game (HALO 4) pre-release date!.. literally a few before it's release! I was eventually met with the inquisition

then its microsoft fault for not informing them of the refund, microsoft should refund then inform the game owner of aid refund so the allotted items are removed from the account. in this case it clearly looks like microsoft did not inform them.

you can remove your payment options, not sure why they need that other than refunding the money. I simply removed the agreement from PayPal, got my refund from them and then removed all payment methods from my account. My account investigation still took
only 22 days and they had no problems completing it.
