Why did I spend over 100$s for this Xbox elite controller....smh it's poor to say the least...

I've always preferred the feel of the Xbox controllers over PS and I've played both a bit. My Elite controllers feel amazing. Carpal tunnel can happen for many reasons and Xbox controllers feel like it's one of the things I need to worry about least
as I spend 8 hours at a computer...holding a controller feels more natural than typing all day.

thats why i ont spend money on a elite controller. for what you pay there is not much quality difference between it and a regular controller.

I generalized the title as I did, because I had issues with not just accessories, but also xbox support.

Why should there be any 'drama' in getting a Day One Edition controller repaired/replaced. Microsoft created the drama by having poor support and quality control. I did the right, and lawful, thing to do and sent in my controller to be repaired.

I don't mind spending $50 every few years for a fresh controller, but I can't justify spending $50 for a controller every four to five months. Microsoft advertised the controllers in a video as having longevity. I have seen nothing but fragility with the
mechanisms installed in these controllers.

I hope that you are getting the elite controller if you are paying over 200$ for each one. I am also in Canada and i spent 100$ on a controller from the xbox design lab i had pre ordered it so it was one of the first ones released about 2 years ago maybe?
I have a very minor hardly noticeable controller drift and I have dropped this poor thing off my bed and desk several times, and it still works great. If you are using an elite controller I have heard several people burn through one of those within a 2 month
span with terrible controller drift, the rubber grip coming off, you name it ive heard it happen to them. Hopefully the new elite controllers are a better quality especially for the price of the darn things.

some developers already said chances are a game will run 60fps on ps4 and 30fps on xbox done. the used game thing kills it for me though, I buy 100's of games over a console cycle and trade at least half of them in for $20 credit or more, MS thinks I'm going
to spend a few extra 1000 dollars on games they are kidding themselves.
