Why couldn't I recover my 360 gamertag on xbox one even though I'm using same email

Thx its not a biggie but if i cant combine the 2 accounts then no real point to recovering my old one(jesta151)atm.thx for letting me know n how to retrieve the old one if i decide to.i dont have 2 xboxs or id totally share between the two though.

Thanks for reaching out.I understand there is an issue with a Microsoft Account. I recommend to try the following troubleshooting article:
Recover and reset your lost Microsoft account
password.

I suggest when you get to the portion "Where should we send the code." Click on I don't have access to any of these, and proceed with the
Account Recovery Form.

Still using all same email never gave me the option to recover my 360 gamertag.

The gamer tag is not really important it is only an identifier for your friends to see. The email is the most important thing. This is your actual account name. There can only be one email attached to one account. In most cases what probably happened
is you created a new account by accident on the new console. If you still have access to the old email you may be able to recover that account. And sorry but there is no way to combine or merge Microsoft accounts

I don't think there is any way to transfer gamerscore to a different account. You can transfer game licenses if you have any digital games and DLC. You should've bought gold for your other account and then just did
a gamertag change.
