    Why can’t xbox players have chats?


    Multiple games I cannot communicate with other players. I don’t feel comfortable being forced into party chats just to talk to people. Games like Roblox don’t allow chat if you’re xbox. Twitch just removed commenting on xbox. I read before its usually due to safety reasons? Why on childrens games? I end up targeted and can’t say anything. I have no clue whats going on around me. If I have to pull my phone out to communicate on twitch or roblox it kind of defeats the purpose of even watching or playing in the xbox. How can I make friends with people on games if it won’t even let me chat or only other xbox players can hear me? This goes for a lot of games and I would genuinely like to know why because it gets incredibly frustrating. Games are able to code in chats but Microsofts privacy won’t allow it for xbox players. Sure minecraft players can chat but its a microsoft game so of course they’d allow it. Is there any way it’ll be changed so we’ll be allowed to communicate other than xbox party? I notice only games and companies partnered with microsoft will allow chat but anything other than that, nope :/ it honestly disheartens me and makes me feel discouraged to play

    Whether players can chat using text or voice is up to the developer. You will still have to have the privacy settings on your account set correctly to allow it. You should pose these questions to Roblox.

    Children's accounts may have it disabled by default until a parent approves it, but I don't have direct experience with that.

    And early example of this was when Infinity Ward blocked users in party chats from COD MW2 multiplayer on 360 because it was being used to coordinate people sabotaging the other team.

    Have you checked the in game settings to allow chat?

    The main reason why the ‘Can’t chat in Minecraft” error occurs is quite simple: the game comes with a set of default settings in the multiplayer section and usually, the chat setting is set to command only. This allows you to input commands but does not let you chat with other users or interact with them

    To fix the ‘Can’t chat in Minecraft” error, go to Options > Chat settings and change the settings from Command Only to Shown. This will let you talk and share your thoughts with all the other creative Minecraft players.

    If chat is still unavailable, disconnect from the game and then enable the connection again.

    But why can’t we just have it as a 13+ can chat setting because voice chat is on there. Voice chat people can say what ever they like, ye they get banned but with the chat box it’s hashtags instead of the word
