    The purchasing history linked to your MS account is important as it assures a transparency between the customer and the service. You can check your billing all the time and so can the service, that is all fair and correct.

    It keeps everything on file just in case. Some times a product or game getts removed from the store you can still download it from the payment records. And it has all the information in case of any othe issues. I get that you want to keep things private
    but there has to be a paper trail so to speak
