Why cant we buy a gold membership with our ms account cash?

As noted in the subject headline. Seems completly asinine and a complete oversight on Microsofts part considering that we can purchase games and media with said funds. Can I get an official explaination from an actual employee and not from an ambassador

You are purchasing a subscription

Which in most languages requires a renewable payment option

Not to mention on most online services you cant use online currency to buy an subscription so where on the world.would you get that idea ?

Not to mention its actually in the terms of use

If yiu want a subscription you need a billing account

 

All you need to do is use logic to you need to use a renewable payment option for a subscription if you want to use non subscription your only option is prepaid subscription cards which means you forgo any bonuses and promotions set in the terms and conditions
of subscriptions like a renewable subscription

 

You have always been able to use currency for Dlc and games and media why in the world wouldn't you?

No subscriptions

It would be unlogical for not use it for Dlc and games not very smart to use it for a subscription since you would have to use a renewable payment option for it

Yep.Live is a subscription service & you need a renewable payment source like a credit/debit card for pretty much all subscription services.

When all services have other options including xbox

You buy prepaid cards if you want non subscriptions

all day. Also I turn off subscripton renewal and use live cards instead. It was an honest question and is a huge oversite on ms part. If they sell imginary digital currancy why not be able to use it to purchase all products and or services that are available
on Xbox
