Why can’t my xbox one connect to live on BC games?

Good day everyone,

every time I try to run a BC game on my Xbox one and try to connect to live it tells me that there’s troubleshooting, I’ve tried every solution, power cycling, manual ip address and DNS, clearing the storage for 360, account removal and redownload, and it still comes up with the same problem, I know Microsoft is aware of these problems, but it has existed for 2 years I believe, and you would expect Microsoft to be on top of things, but this is just unfortunate, please reply with any updates on this problem because I’ve heard there’s only a chance for this problem to happen, as the other week I was playing Black ops 1 multiplayer just fine and now all of a sudden it just gives out on me ever since I tried playing online left 4 dead 2

I advise that you try to perform an offline system update. The Xbox Offline System Update (OSU) process allows you to update your console by downloading a file to a USB flash drive and then installing that file directly onto your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console.

To use the Offline System Update, you'll need:
A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
A USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.

Tried that, even did a factory reset on Xbox One still can’t sign into Xbox 360 nor BC Xbox 360 Games

Well I have contacted support three times and still no resolution. I can’t find anything that has helped. Can’t believe after buying BC games through my Xbox One console and xbox.com for years that all of a sudden I loose the function with no explaination....giving
it a few more days before I call it quits. I would hate to give up after having every Xbox console and enjoying them all but if I can’t use one of the main selling points (BC) then I’m done I guess.

You can’t transfer anything between accounts. You can log in with the old credentials on the Xbox one and get your BC games on that console.
