Why can´t my kids play Minecraft online?

Our two oldest boys got a cell phone for Christmas (Huawei Y6). And in that annoyance I created a common gmail they can use on their phones, since I don't want them to have access to my accounts, mail. etc.

I've downloaded Minecraft on the phone. The game works, but when it comes to playing online, it just gets a message saying:

"You can't play multiplayer games online through Xbox Live because of how your account is configured. You can change this in the privacy and online security settings on Xbox.com"

I have been trying to look up at Xbox.com but can't find anything that solves this problem.

Anyone have any tips here?

Just to be clear the kids have their own accounts and you manage everything in a family account like this

It sounds like you just need to change some of their safety and privacy settings.

I finally figured it out!

I had to look quite a bit after the solution, but I found it in the "Privacy and online" settings.

What do you mean? It does not support the online part? The game in it self works fine.

Take a look at the Minecraft Support page which should help you identify the problem. Let us know if you continue to have difficulty.

Good day

To be able to play online you will need to have a wifi connection. Mobile connection wont connect to online play.

You will have to check in the privacy and online settings of the account on the website. Will need to set everything on allow except buy and download.
