    Why can't my child add friends while playing Minecraft on his iPhone?


    I've been at this for two hours. One of my children can add friends. One gets a message about needing to make a change to their privacy settings. They're the same age (twins), and as far as I can tell, their setting are configured identically. Can someone
    please give me the magic incantation to make this work?!?!

    Thank you for your assistance. I'd missed the Xbox 360 Online Safety setting to "Accept Friend Requests". For posterity, I also had to logout of my son's Microsoft account on his phone and login again. Now my son can try to add my daughter as a friend. (Before,
    Minecraft was giving us an error.) But...

    Now whenever my son tries to friend my daughter's gamer tag, it says no one is found. Any ideas?

    Hello

    You want to go to account.xbox.com website. Log in under your account.

    Go to "privacy & online safety" page.

    on the page you should see your profile and your child(s).

    click on the child profile pic, it should be green now.

    click the "Xbox One Online Safety" tab.

    Allow everything but "buy and download".

    Click save at the bottom!

    click the "Xbox 360 Online Safety" tab.

    allow the first 2 "Accept Friend Requests" and "Online Gameplay".

    make sure you click save.

    When you've done all this and saved everything be sure to sign the profile out and then back in so the new changes take affect.
