Why can't MS learn to let us use reshade on ALL Windows Store/xbox gamepass games?

Topic, every single other platform lets you use mods and such on every game they have, why it is ms has to lock the folder down so you cannot install reshade and never seems to give an option to move it to a modable folder? I know some games have this,
but every game should have this feature by default on the windows store/xbox game pass. This is why I don't keep my xbox game pass open, its too restrictive. If I could somehow take control of the folder and install reshade i'd not care, but i've tried, changing
permissions/owner etc you name it, and nothing lets me install reshade. Most recent game was Wasteland 3, game looks alright, but its honestly very blurry as I am used to always having reshade and games just look aweful without those sharpen filters I use.

Another one of the bugbears I have with the whole Windows Store thing. The problem is not file access permissions it's encryption. Even if you take control of a WindowsApps Folder, the sub-folders and files within are still protected and you can't access
them.

Without access to the folder, the only other way to add any kind of re-shade, or at the very least, a sharpen filter, would be to try to do it via your graphics card software.

Don't expect an official response from Microsoft here, we're mostly a community forum.

make sure all your windows updates are done, also open the windows store and make sure all the updates are in on there too.

yes gamepass on PC is dire which is why i mostly don't use it and get all my games elsewhere.

no point as in windows 11 the store directs you to the xbox app for games now, you have to use the xbox app to initiate game downloads (even bought games) and use gamepass games too.

all that and yet it is still the windows store that downloads the stuff in the background.

But in the future it might be possible. There is a planned change in the format of the windows app, to allow the use of WIN32

Also in the last update of Xbox pass PC there are indications that mods will be allowed.

I'm also waiting to use the Reshade in some games

UWP Hook is a simple free little application, when you run it, it adds all the installed gamepass and windows store games into steam, you can launch the games from steam, this may let you use the controller config from steam to allow use of the controller.
