Why can't I use Minecraft?

Hello,

I encountered an issue while attempting to play Minecraft earlier today. The problem arises when I click on the "Microsoft Account" option, as the game becomes stuck on a particular animation. However, when I choose the "Mojang Login" option or press "Create a Microsoft account", the launcher opens the relevant pages. I have made sure that my Minecraft is up-to-date, and I attempted to resolve the issue by repairing the app in Settings and restoring it as well, but unfortunately, these attempts did not yield any positive results. In addition, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, but that also did not resolve the problem. I even attempted to fix the issue by restarting my PC, but to no avail.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions you can provide.

Kindly try to perform the following troubleshooting steps:

Make sure to update your Windows, Device Drivers, Minecraft, Xbox, and gaming services app:

Windows:

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.

On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.

On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device.

Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.

Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.

Device Drivers:

For the best game performance, make sure your system’s video card drivers (or display adapter drivers) are up to date. Drivers are available on the support website for your computer manufacturer, or if your computer system is custom built, on the video card manufacturer’s support website. Updating video card drivers can resolve game crashes, improve frame rates, and improve overall game performance.

Minecraft:

Open the Xbox app for Windows.

In My Library, select the game title.

Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.

Select Files and then Check for updates.

Xbox and gaming services:

Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.

Select Library.

Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app. If an update is available, select Update.

I understand your concern. What happens when you try to access Minecraft Marketplace, do you get any error message? I see you have already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, how about reinstalling the game on your Switch? Have you tried that one? If not, please do try that. But please make sure to backup your saved data to cloud first. Please follow the steps below to backup your saved data on Switch:

1. Open the game's software menu and select Save Data Cloud Backup.

2. Select the desired user, then select Back Up Save Data.
