If you wish this to change you should ask Apple why it's not there.

If you want to game,I recommend you get an x64 AMD or Intel windows desktop PC, not a laptop, and not anything else. That is what games are designed for, and will provide you the best and longest lasting bang for your buck. otherwise you'll have to put up with compromises.

Sadly, it is because it is not compatible with MacBook. The supported Minecraft Version for your device is Minecraft Java Edition only.

If ever you get another Windows device you will be able to play both.

Unfortunately, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition does not currently have 'diamond apples' in the game, so they are unobtainable.

It might be that your son has seen a modded version of Minecraft: Java Edition online and tried to replicate it in his 'vanilla' game on Bedrock? Or, he may have seen 'golden apples' and thought that 'diamond apples' must exist as a result?

I have been playing Minecraft since 2013, and have experience with Minecraft: Java Edition for PC, Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (which I think you are referring to as 'legacy'?) and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile devices.

'Diamond apples' have never existed in any 'vanilla' version of the game.

That being said, they could be included in some modded versions of the game, or perhaps in an add-on pack. However, many mods are only applicable to Minecraft: Java Edition, and the original question never mentioned a modded version of Bedrock, leaving me to believe it was merely a misconception.

Moreover, Bedrock Edition is a completely separate game to Xbox One Edition (which was its predecessor). There were no possible mods for Xbox One Edition, and 'diamond apples' did not exist in that version, meaning that there was no way in which to add them.
