Why can’t I upload a custom picture during a virus outbreak?

All ive been wanting to do is change my gamer pic back to what it was, but no, apparently having a custom gamer pic breaks social distancing or something, cause xbox claims to have disabled the feature to use your own pics cause of covid...

Can someone explain why this is? And more importantly when they are gonna undo this chaos? Why wasnt the app disabled completely? Why does it LOOK like i can still change my pic but just constantly get a message saying “sorry try again”. Why doesnt it just
tell me “why decided to turn this off for covid! Stop trying till we feel like turning it back on again”, instead of telling me to keep trying! This whole issue seems competely unnessary and extremly poorly done. Is not having a custom profile pic saving lives
or stopping the spread of this virus?

Can I at least get one straight answer on when this will be fixed or turned back on or w/e? Countries and states are opening back up for business so shouldnt that mean this is done?

Hi, there is currently no information on when the Custom Gamer Pics will be back on the grid. As soon as the global situation with Covid-19 has relaxed again, we can expect a functional service like Custom Gamer Pics again

I've tried to change it a few times during this period and it didn't work, strange that Microsoft blocked only this feature.

We don't have a date of when it'll be back, but each pic was manually checked while being uploaded. With everyone working from home they decided it would be easier to disable them for now.
