Why Cant I Update To Minecraft 1.18.2?

I will try to do my best to help you.

1. Uninstall Minecraft

2. Search for "Microsoft Store", Right click then press 'App Settings'

3. Scroll down and select Terminate, Reset, Repair

4. Restart your PC

5. Download Minecraft

6. Minecraft should display the latest verison available to you.

I could not find the 3rd step anywhere in the store, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing happened except deleting my worlds. I do mostly play on java now, but this method does not seem to work

I do all the steps but it hasn't update

The solution for this lies in the recent changes Minecraft on PC has made with how they launch the app:

• Make sure you are using the new Minecraft Launcher. New Launcher | Mojang Support
  
• This launcher will handle the updates to the game going forward allowing you to get the new editions past 18.1
