    Why can't I unlink my Xbox Live account from my EA account?


    I play on PC and my brother plays on XBOX, but he has linked his XBOX account to my EA account. Apex Legends is planning to enable cross progression, which would merge our accounts into one and annihilate my life and waste all of the mass amounts of money i've dumped. Don't ask how this happened i don't know either. I need to unlink his XBOX account from my EA account before this update so i can then link my proper XBOX account, but just my luck because the "unlink" button on the EA Customer Portal is not there, meaning I can't do it. Please contact me and fix this ASAP.

    Xbox can't unlink the gamertag from your EA account, the link process occurs on the EA servers not on Xbox, the only ones able to unlink an account would be EA support

    I had the same issue. Had to go to my EA Account and Unlink my Xbox Live account.

    After Unlinking, follow the steps to install an EA Play game from the Xbox app. EA Desktop will ask to re-link your Microsoft account.

    After doing that it all works fine. Hope this helped.

    As you’re not able to do this, I suggest you to contact EA support. That way, you can review with them the options you may have.
