Why can't I unblock anyone,even if I send them a message they're still blocked it's really...

Helpless, can't unblock a player at all no matter what I do, need someone who has authority if a player can't figure it out.

Select "Friends". Select the gamertag of the person you want to unblock from your friends list or recent players list. Send a friend request, game invite, or message to the locked player to unblock them and allow them to communicate with you on Xbox Live.

Whatever you do, do not send them any messages, even if it's to ask them to stop. Sending blocked people messages unblocks them. Or at least it used to.

See the issue for me is I want to get rid of the followers but I don't want to permanently block them. I have read that if you block, sign off, sign on, and then unblock them. But now you are saying that you have to send them a message. Does anyone know
why we don't have access to our blocked list? Or why they allow anyone to follow you? What is the purpose? Flies in the face of privacy !
