    Why can't I stream on my tablet over wifi?


    I can't cloud stream on my android tablet through my wifi. It's a 5ghz connection and I used to be able to, but has stopped in the past couple of weeks. I haven't changed any settings in my tablet. I can however stream over the mobile network. My phone and my Xbox one have no problems using the wifi. Another weird thing is I can play on my wifi if I go through the web browser on my tablet with the wifi. I've deleted the game pass app and reinstalled it and also tried clearing the cache. What's even weirder is I can stream with the app downloaded from the web browser, but I would rather not to, because that isn't set up like game pass. Please help.

    I can see that you're having trouble streaming on your Android tablet over WiFi. Have you tried resetting your WiFi router or modem? Sometimes, resetting the network equipment can help resolve connectivity issues. Additionally, you may want to check if there are any firmware updates available for your tablet and router.



    If resetting your network equipment and updating your tablet and router firmware doesn't help, you may want to try contacting your internet service provider to see if there are any known issues with your connection.



    Lastly, you can also try contacting Xbox support for further assistance with your Game Pass app. They may be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps for your device.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys. I suspect it’s the Nexus 7 being under powered although I’m not sure why, it’s only got to stream and respond to controller inputs? My network is fine - fast down and up speeds, Xbox is wired over ethernet, using the 5GHz
    wifi channel etc. I don’t have another Android device to test it on - might be time to invest in a new tablet, but I do love my Nexus 7...

    Download Skifta app. Connect to your wifi , open the XB1 video app, the navigate to the file to stream on your phone or tablet and viola, you can stream on XB1.

    @dwoop that's why I'm excited for this device. I haven't had Foxtel ( pay TV) for about 6 years. But I want to have my Xbox features available over my TV signal. Streaming to a tablet is or phone is excellent and will use that also.
