Apologies for the confusion. There was an error that arose with our daily maintenance that caused a file to fail. This caused users to briefly see what appeared as no account at all. We have hotfixed this issue, and you should now be seeing account information
that is accurate up to yesterday morning. We are currently working on getting this information up to date to this morning. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Just as an option that I have used before, you can pay for subs using MS credit from gift cards or rewards, but only on the console itself.

This is what I did:

• Redeem Microsoft Reward points for a MS or Xbox gift card
• Go to the channel on on your console and hit the sub button
• You are able to pay using your MS credit balance

Not sure if this works for pro subs, but I can't see why not. Can anyone confirm this?

If you're still having trouble adding the phone number as an alias, it could be due to the phone number you're trying to add is already associated with another Microsoft account.

I have also experienced the same issue before. In this case, you'll need to use a different/new phone number from your own number that has not been associated to any Microsoft account yet.

Also, avoid VoIP phone numbers: If you were using a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone number previously, consider switching to a traditional mobile or landline number. Sometimes, VoIP numbers may not be recognized or accepted during the verification process.

Choose the call option: During the verification process, you have the choice between receiving a text message or a phone call for the verification code. If the text message option is not working, select the call option and enter your home phone number.
