Why can't I read messages from a specific person in Minecraft chat?

I have had the problem of not being able to read a friend's messages when I play multiplayer, and coincidentally the player is the owner of the world, more people play with us (my friend and I), I can read the messages of others, except my friend's, I need help pls

Have you two checked your Xbox Live privacy settings to see if there is something that might have been changed by accident that is preventing you two from connecting?

No, different houses entirely. Yes ,plenty of internet and yes, Xbox one.

its usually NAT types that cause these problems, for best results you need to be sure you are both running an OPEN NAT type, open nat can connect with strict and moderate, but moderate and strict sometimes struggle to connect with one another.

making sure UPnP is enabled in the settings can help.

Since it seems to be happening with different games it seems like there is something with your profiles maybe restricting you two playing together. Is there any chance that one of you has accidentally muted or blocked the other in some way? Or does anyone
else have access to your accounts that might have done this on one of your accounts towards the other person?
