You're wrong there. No special consideration needs to be provided but to allow us to access the U.S. based services. It's not an infrastructural or a regulatory issue. Now, I'm sure there's a reason for this of which I'm not aware, but it's not an infrastructural one.

We play games and access other services (Steam, Epic Games) from U.S. datacenters and get pretty good pings while doing so. We don't need local datacenters.

Please don't take this response as any ire toward you. But frankly, I find it absurd, given that I purchase games from Steam and Epic game store without issue, for example.

I highly doubt that there are any regulations in Jamaica preventing Microsoft from offering this service. It is more likely that it has something to do with distribution rights that have nothing to do with Jamaica's own regulations. That's an assumption based on experience.

I know we are a small market, perhaps not worth considering. But if I could just purchase from the U.S. store, that would be fine. But it is geo-restricted.

Now, I would like to petition someone who can do something about this to fix it.

Microsoft accepts my money for Office and other services, why not Game Pass too? Please treat us Caribbean customers with more respect.

P.S. I was about to buy and Xbox for kids in my family, so I'm relieved, at least, that I found this out before I went ahead with that purchase. It's probably the case that Xbox owners in the Caribbean have to purchase CDs or use various workarounds (which I see online) to access Game Pass, I'm not sure. But I have no energy to use such workarounds, I just want direct, legitimate access.
