Why cant i play the game i paid for?

Check if you can find the game completely purchased on there. Try searching the game from the store and see if you can install it from there or if it says that you owned it.

I have been in a similar situation before. Not with Mortal Kombat, but, Forza games.

1. So, I purchased the "ultimate edition" ADD-ON for the "base" game of Forza.
1. Now, here, the 'base' game was from Xbox Game Pass, which I don't own.

1. But, I own the "ultimate edition" ADD-ON for the "base" game.

But then, one month, due to some card issues, I lost game pass for a few days. Now, Forza became "unavailable" because, I won the DLC but not the game itself.

Then, later, I fixed my card issues, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate got renewed. And, I could play again.

So, perhaps, something similar happened?

See if you 'own' the base game as well. If not, you may have to buy the 'base game' only and the DLC will get attached to it.

Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and check if the auto-recurring charge is still showing up as "pending". If yes, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services > manage subscription > pay now. You won't be charged since you have already paid, we will just trigger the transaction.

Once done all that and the subscription is now showing up as "active", simply perform a power cycle on your console to re-sync the changes that were made.

i agree you should be able to play a game you paid for whenever. how is it fair that i paid for a game but if i lose my internet connection i cant play it any longer. i dont care if they cut the online features if i dont pay for gold or something but why
cant i play an offline game unless im online? completely unfair

1. Navigate to 'All settings' from the Xbox One guide menu.
2. Within the settings screen, scroll down to 'System' and select 'Storage'.
3. Within the storage screen, select 'clear local Xbox 360 storage'.
