    I purchased seige thinking I could finally play with my friends with our paying for game pass, come to find out even after paying $50 I still have to pay for game pass and it really ticks me off

    You need an online subscription to play any game online apart from free to play games.

    It's been this way on Xbox for over 20 years & is the same on other consoles.

    Why can I play sea of thieves even though I bought it? I thought if you bought a game gamepass was not required.

    The game is an online multiplayer game only, so you would need Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate to play it.
