Why can’t I play Modern Warfare 2019 campaign anymore even though I already bought it?

Same issue here. As with the OP, I have been trying to launch the MW1 Campaign (Digital Copy). Whenever I load the game I'm shown the padlock icon on the MW side (right) and it always directs me to the **** Store to purchase the game. Somewhat frustrating since the 'File Info' in 'Manage game and add-ons' shows 'AcquiredDate: 18/04/2020 20:03:41'. Yes, I have been unsuccessfully trying to get the campaign to open (on & off) for over 3 years. The royale **** there is no issue with.



Each time I think it may be different I end up with the same result of not being able to launch the campaign.



Here are the steps I have tried.



• Initially, just could not get the campaign running, locked and directed me to the MS store

• Re-installed - no joy, purchase prompt

• Cleared cache, set up XB1X again, fresh download & reinstall - no joy, purchase prompt

• Later MWII came out, saw posts to launch the MWI Campaign through that launcher

• Multiple combinations with fresh installs and cache clearing - no joy, purchase prompt

• Since MWIII came out, was hopeful this issue may have been fixed...guess what?...that's right!!!....purchase prompt!!!!

• Tried in the first game and through the Legacy section of MWIII - no joy

• Cleared cache again, set up XB1X, fresh download & reinstall - no joy, purchase prompt





Some notes to hopefully avoid unnecessary questions seen in other posts:



• I have purchased many digital titles and have never faced this issue

• I don't have alternate profiles that purchase games nor is there an age issue

• I always download and install all add-ons available for MWI

• When checking installs on 'Manage game and add-ons' > everything is installed

• When checking 'Manage Installs' from the MWI Title Screen > only 'Multiplayer Pack' is missing 'Multiplayer Pack 2' along with everything else is installed.

• When clicking on 'Multiplayer Pack' an MS Store bubble attempts to open, only to close and a screen comes up showing 'Oops. Not sure what happened there. Please try again later.' I have lost count on how many times I have tried later. The error code shown is: 'BEbpPvm1fUG6KuD2.4.1.1.2.1.11'. Once Close is selected and you are returned to the game, a NOTICE comes up saying 'Purchase failed, Error code : PILUM' > EXIT. *** This isn't specific to my hardware, plenty of others have mentioned this in threads, seems to be common.



Very keen to get through the campaign as many following await that have been on hold for quite some time (Cold War, Vanguard, MW II & III)



I've gone by other posts in the past but nothing has worked, if ANYONE has any suggestions, please chime in!!!

I understand that you are having problems playing the Modern Warfare 2019 campaign despite having purchased it.

Verify Xbox Account: Make sure you are using the same Xbox account that you used to purchase the game.

If you need to change accounts, select “Add or change” on your Xbox console (Remember, this must be the account you use)

Check game files: It could be that some game files are corrupt or missing. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to reinstall the game. Instead, try checking the game files.

Reinstall the game: If the problem persists after checking the game files, you could try uninstalling and then reinstalling the game.

Restore licenses: If you play on PlayStation, be sure to restore your licenses (Settings -> Account Management -> Restore these licenses) and perhaps restart your PS4 after3. Then, through the main menu of the game, tap on DLC, tap on the expansion pass and download the two given DLCs.

Hi, looks like I have a similar problem. I bought and downloaded call of duty modern warfare, no matter what I do it will not play. Just keeps saying there is a pack missing even though I have downloaded them all. It then flicks back onto pacific and tries to update but no matter what I can’t play the campaign. I have tried on internal and external drive along with uninstalling but nothing works?

You do not understand the issue, you have to understand that there is modern warfare (not free) and modern warfare war zone (free)

For those who have a physical version, we can't access the original modern warfare campaign and other stuff from the main game that we purchased, we can only access modern warfare war zone, everytime we try to play the original modern warfare and not modern
warfare war zone it tell us that we have to purchase it. Even though we had paid for the physical version already.

This does not fix the problem? Even with everything installed it doesn’t even give me an option for modern warfare. It only says war zone one and two. I bought the disc but I can’t play the game?
