    Why can’t I play Minecraft on Nintendo switch


    The issue started when I logged out of Minecraft I was not able to connect to servers after the error would read “unable to connect to world” after I reloaded me game I have not been able to get back into my game. If I click on the game and go to its options it says I am “waiting to back up” once I do the backup nothing changes besides it says “back up loaded” if I load in after it goes up to 71 percent and back to 66 nothing helps. And it’s not a cache issue I have tested that. Please help

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Let's see what we can do about that here.

    To further isolate the issue, try to sign in with a different account if you could get into the game just fine. You could also try to connect your device using a different internet connection.

    As a last resort, you would have to reinstall your game.

    We recommend checking this => Minecraft for Nintendo Switch FAQ – Home. You could also restart your router to troubleshoot the issue. If the link provided wasn't helpful, it would be best to get in touch with the Nintendo Switch support for further assistance. Keep in mind that this could also be from the game developer's side so might want to check with them as well in case there are no issues with the Nintendo Switch.
    I play on PS4 and I have the same problem. I can’t join any servers because of that.

    Have you an active Nintendo Switch Online Subscription? I ask this because I found the following Q/A on Minecraft Nintendo Switch FAQ:

    Can I play Realms on this edition?

    Yes, Realms is available on the Bedrock edition of Minecraft for Nintendo Switch. To play online on a Nintendo Switch, you need to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, so this is a requirement for playing on Realms. More information about Nintendo Switch Online can be found here.
