    I recently tried opening Minecraft on my Xbox Series X to play, but when I do, I get a print saying “Looks like you need to renew Xbox Game Pass”. I never had the game through Game Pass, I’ve owned it since it first released (Bedrock Edition). I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, signing out, removing my profile, resetting my Xbox, using a different profile, and everything else but I still have the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I'm being asked to buy Minecraft: Java and Bedrock edition although I have already owned Bedrock for years and I have Java on my laptop.

    The Xbox edition of Minecraft in the screenshot is still the Bedrock edition, is it not? I should have access to Java through owning the Bedrock edition, and I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to play it if I played Java in the past with my Microsoft account without having to buy Java.

    Actually, Minecraft dungeons needs to be purchase for you to own it as it was not included in the promotional bundle with Bedrock. But this game is for free to play if you have an active game pass subscription though.

    If you have been playing the game without buying it then it must have been through game pass subscription.
