    Today I just got into the delta ring where it says that only destiny 2 and warzone can't be played without xbox live gold. Unfortunately I can't play any f2p game that is multiplyer without xbox live gold Why can't i play f2p games without xbox live gold? (I'm in delta ring) :(

    Does fornite require xbox live gold as it is in early access??

    Not all Insiders have access to not requiring gold for f2p games at the moment.Only Alpha/Alpha skip ahead & Beta rings are testing it.If you are not in any of those rings then you will still need a gold sub at the moment.
    I have access im in the delta lvl and it talks about us testing it but it will not work on my Xbox and I’m on the current update for delta and I see the I have a Xbox network id

    Remove the paywall of F2P games on Xbox One, if PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch can do this, then why not you.

    I don't think so, for being F2P, how will you keep to yourselves?

    There is something I don't understand, why do the f2P need Xbox Live Gold to play?

    They're not removing xbox live gold,they're removing the need for a gold sub to play f2p games.

    The feature is now being tested by some rings in the Insider program which means if there's no issues with the testing then it will be made available to everyone soon.

    My guess would be around May or June but that is only a guess.

    While the game is free to play you are still using the xbox live servers to play online and that requires a lot of funding to run.

    This question comes up a lot but i don't ever see F2P games being allowed to use xbox live without paying for the gold subscription.
