why can’t i log in to microsoft on minecraft playstation 5 edition

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you have an existing Microsoft account that is linked to your PlayStation.

However, according to Minecraft's policy, once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation Network account can be associated with a different account.

If you choose to unlink accounts, then purchases will be returned to the account which made the purchase. Even after unlinking, Microsoft and PlayStation accounts can only be re-linked to the original account. It cannot be unlinked without loss of access to entitlements and Minecoins on other platforms.

What you can do instead is to create a new PSN account where you could link your new Minecraft account.

The drowned error is related to issues with your login credentials.

First, in a web browser go to account.microsoft.com and make sure your account log in is working as expected.

Then, on your PS5, go to Minecraft settings and open the Profile section and choose the option to "Clear Account Sign-In Data", then close the game. Restart your PS5, and then launch Minecraft and try signing in again with your Microsoft account.

Unfortunately, Minecoin gift cards are specific to the version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition on the Microsoft platform, and cannot be redeemed or used on the PlayStation 4/5 version of Minecraft.

Minecoin gift cards can only be redeemed on the Microsoft account associated with the Bedrock Edition version of Minecraft on devices such as Xbox, Windows 10, mobile devices, and some Nintendo Switch consoles. They are not compatible with the PlayStation version of Minecraft.

I didn't even know you could log into your Microsoft account on a playstation. Is it the same version of minecraft that you played last time you had logged the ps4 in with your minecraft account?
