    Why can't i install the Xbox One version of a game, with the Xbox Series?


    Just bought a series X. Wanted to play Mortal Kombat 11 again, but dont care about the X/S version and wanted to re-download the Version for the One. I have an external for such games. and most other games i have the option to either install the newer version or the older. BUT MK11 is now only showing up for the Series and acting like the One doesnt exist. Help?

    That part I understand. But the deluxe edition that was purchased has a digital xbox one version and xbox series x version with the purchase. So why can't I have them both install. I have an xbox one and x.

    Well no as smart delivery gives you the best version for your console only advantage is the better graphics series x or compressed files if you are using series s

    If you didn't want the previousngen you shouldn't.have bought the cross gen version

    Very interesting. Are you trying to install the correct version of the game for your console? Make sure you are installing the Xbox One version of the game, and not the Xbox Series X|S version.

    NO! Unlike some games that have an Xbox One version that will upgrade to the the S|X version if you put it in a series X, NBA2K for S|X is a complete different version than the Xbox One version and it will not work if you put the disc inside of an Xbox One. Xbox One cannon run a Series X game and putting a Series X disc inside an X1 will not install the X1 version.

    After purchasing the upgrade, search in the Xbox store for The Callisto Protocol:tm: for Xbox Series X|S to install the Xbox Series X|S version of the game.
