Why can't I get reapproved

So why is when I tried to recover my old account I've had since I've started playing Xbox live in 2008 and recently still play it but I forgot my password and done the recover process and it worked no problem until I had it almost complete had the new password in both boxes and hit confirm and before I could sign in my phone screen blackedout and closed the tab so I went to sign in with new password with old account yet still it didn't work so now I've been trying to get reapproved to change it and can't I know for a fact I've been putting the right info in because I got approved the first time with that info but now I can't get approved using that very same info so my question is why can't I get reapproved even tho I'm using the very same info I got approved the first time with?

Let's say the only alternative you have at this moment is to submit the account recovery form (You mentioned that you have tried, but the system does not confirm that you are the owner, is that correct?), I have also been through this situation, so I can give you some recommendations:

The first thing is to enter information that the account has, in case a phone number or card has been deleted, you should simply omit that information and not add it to the form. That said, you can enter the following link:

Find your subscription and select Manage.

Note that if you see Turn on recurring billing instead of a link that says Manage, this means your subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and you won’t be charged after this date. You can continue to use the subscription’s benefits until it expires.

Note that if you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll see an option to cancel immediately with a refund.
