Why can't I get back my refund after cancelling a subscription.

Please keep in mind that you may be eligible to cancel your recurring subscription and request a refund, but not all subscription purchases are eligible for a refund. If you qualify for a refund, you will see the option to cancel immediately and request a refund when reviewing your subscription status.

Note: Refund requests that are outside of the cancellation processes above are not eligible for a refund.

when I cancel active subscription I don't see the option to get a refund. here is what I see:

"We can’t cancel your subscription

You've already paid for your Xbox Live Gold subscription. It will expire automatically on 9/27/2022."

I am trying to understand why my account is not qualified for a refund? why I have to pay the whole year although I cancel active subscription?

here is what I found in the cancellation instructions:

1. Select Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing.
   
   • If you choose Cancel subscription and you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll be provided two options: Don’t charge me on (next renewal date) and Cancel immediately and get a refund.
     
   • If you choose Cancel subscription but you don’t qualify for a refund, you’ll be prompted to Turn off recurring billing and won’t see a refund option. Turning off recurring billing will prevent the next charge.

You could also try to refund the subscription and purchase it again after the refund. To cancel a subscription and ask for a refund, please go to:

- Select Manage next to the subscription you want to cancel.

- Select Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing.

- Select Cancel immediately and get a refund.

hello, my subscription Xbox Game pass Ultimate was canceled and my funds were refunded . but i didn't cancel my subscription. it was supposed to last until November 2024. how do i get my subscription back?

You can't remove a card while it's attached to an active subscription which is most likely why it was cancelled. Typically you have to choose to "Cancel and refund" in order to get a refund, but you can try contacting support and speak to billing to see if they can do anything. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

In order to not be charged again, you just need to turn off recurring subscriptions.

Oh.. Okay! I did choose "Cancel and refund" then i deleted my credit card to be sure to not get charged! Thanks everything, I will try and contact the support!
