    Why can't I find the file location for some of my Xbox games?


    Some of my Xbox games do not have a file location where I can see the application installed on my computer. They still run when I click the shortcut, but finding the actual application in my file explorer is impossible. They also appear differently in the Xbox app, and I am unable to change which drive they are on or repair them if something happens. My games are all on an external D: drive. Sea of Thieves is the game I am trying to find the location of. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sea of Thieves, but nothing changed.

    Why can't I find the file location for some of my Xbox games?

    I am able to find the file location for other games like Deep Rock Galactic and Subnautica, it is just Sea of Thieves I cannot find. In addition to this, when I open the file tab under "manage" in the Xbox app, it does not give me the option to verify and repair files if the game were to have any issues. Again, this is something that is easily accessible with my other Xbox games which are also on my D: drive.

    I am not trying to mod anything. I know Xbox games cannot be modified. This is an issue with being able to clip with my software because it can no longer find the game. This was not an issue on my C: drive, but I do not have enough space to keep the game there.

    I thought they were moving away from encrypted folders to Xbox games folders, this is the reason I only buy the Microsoft games I want via steam, I get to choose where I put them and in what folder and easier to backup if needed.

    when does store games are encrypted, and inaccessible to the end-user.

    If you're trying to install mods, they cannot be modified

    I can't find the save files either, I want to migrate my saves from my Epic "Metro Exodus" purchase to my microsoft file. But like you guys I can't locate any files for the game. The resolution in the game for metro on the Xbox (beta) app is also weird and
    broken.

    Microsoft, please help out on these issues.
