Why can't I equip a clan tag?

My gamer tag is Scout Sniper FA, I've been banned from equipping a clan tag, the reply I get says "Can not equip due to profanity". In BO3 there is profanity in the game, it also promotes the use of "Marijuana, and smoking. I've seen gamertags on here that are profanity and nothing happens. The only thing I can think is of the letters "FA" which for your info stands for "Field Artillary". With that said I've been banned for no reason at all.

In some cases, changing Activision ID or display name fixes these issues.

you can do it either in-game or through the Activision website. In-game, navigate to the Activision Account screen (often under Account & Network or similar) and look for options to change your Display Name.

I don't think so. If you're not in a clan and/or you're not playing with your clan why have a clan-tag anyways? It does nothing but contribute to the obstruction of another player's view. I can't tell you how many times I've had a shot lined up and then
[8==D]iTzSupRKooLD00d runs out and suddenly I can't see jack. It's called "consideration" people..

Uhm, I'm talking about changing a clan tag. You seem to keep bringing up this comparison to felonies... Which I can't possibly understand why. Unless... you actually think they are the same thing? Which can't be true, right?
