Why can't I download Games with Gold although I have Ultimate?

Hello,

I've been unable to download a game with gold with this past 6/16/2023 game (The Vale). I've contacted a professional (Xbox assist) who walked me through ALL trouble shooting steps over 3 times, then after no success they connected me to Xbox who troubleshooted with me as well again, with no success... Finally, I uploaded a ticket through my console 3 days ago with no reply or anything being done. What else can I do? I'm on an XBOX SERIES X by the way.

When pressing the game tile it says it's %100 off and free with gold however instead of your typical "Get now" button it says "FREE WITH XBOX LIVE GOLD" and underneath "Join now". When pressed it takes me to a "Manage Subscription" button which lets me see I have an active Ultimate membership. The following trouble shooting steps were taken.....

DNS Cleared

Hard re-started console over 10 times

Cleared cache by unplugging everything multiple times

Deleted and re-downloaded my account multiple times

Restarted my router/modem

Made toggled and re-toggled my HOME xbox on my account and xbox.

Toggled and re-toggled Automatic Billing

The Xbox support agent even deleted my entire 6 months remaining Ultimate membership from my account and re-added it to make sure my account was registering my membership with no success.

I also logged into XBOX and tried adding the title to my account so that I can in turn download it on my console but it still only says "Joing xbox Gold"

Hello L, sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing the game to play.

If you haven't already please try opening an Incognito Window on your browser on PC then go https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/store/The-Vale... and sign in with your account.

See if you're able to add the game to your account from there. If you can then go to My Games & Apps then Full Library and finally Owned Games and search down to see if you can find The Vale.

If you still have trouble then I'm afraid you may need to continue dealing with the Microsoft Advocates. As you say they've already deleted then re-added the membership on your account and weren't able to fix it you may want to try asking the Advocate to escalated you further for the account issue.

I have the game pass ultimate and I'm in the United States. It has already downloaded but it is saying that I'm to early. It has to be that they have having problems with the Game pass ultimate. I've been surfing the web for hours trying to find out why
I can't play.

EA is included with Game Pass Ultimate. Do you have that level of subscription? If not, that's why you can't download those games.

If you buy the xbox game pass/ultimate game pass before purchasing xbox live gold. Your game pass benifts will only last for the time it lasts. Although a good to know trick, is buying gold first and then the ultimate game pass, and your 6months gold will
be converted into 6months of ultimate. Hopefully you understand, I also found it confusing at first
