    Why can’t I create an Xbox account?


    For the past few days, I’ve been trying to make an Xbox account, both on mobile and pc, but whenever I make my gamer tag, press/click “Let’s go”, the button does nothing. I have tried to do it via the Minecraft app on my iPad and iPhone, and it didn’t work. Then I tried to do it on my PC via the website and, you guessed it, nothing. I checked if there was a problem with that, or if there was a lockdown, but nope. My friend also tried to make my account using her iPad, but the same thing happened. I don’t know if this is an issue with my account or with Xbox themselves. If it is, I would like this fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

    What I’m asking is why can’t we recover our accounts with a landline phone? Like I said, I created the account when landline phones were still very common so why take away that ability?

    When you're creating a new gamertag and account you need to be on the Xbox.com website to verify and enter all your info. Have you tried that?
