Why cant I connect to DCHP server on Xbox One?

I think you've typed that the wrong way around. DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) is a networking protocol which is used to assign each individual device on your home network with an unique IP address.

If your console can't connect to DCHP then the issue is with your router. You'll need to or clear any assigned devices or reset the router. Most have a little pin-hole at the rear of the unit which you can reset using a paperclip. You'll need to read the documentation for your router for full instructions. It's definitely an issue your end though.

If you do the reset rout, disconnect all of your devices from your network first. Reset the router and be sure that the first thing you connect is your console. After this connects, reconnect your other devices. This is entirely optional of course, but probably the best option.

When I turned off the dchp server on the gateway lost the internet connection to the router.

yeah it sees it and connects to it but it gives me a dchp server error message

Is your console seeing your wireless network? If not then first try doing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console
for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test to see if you are now connected to the network. Let us know. Good Luck!!
