    why can't I change country of origin in any normal way


    I've been sitting here for at least a half of an hour trying to find any fix to this, but I still haven't found it. I am on a PC trying to change my account name on XBOX, but I cant set my country of origin to canada. so when I looked it up I saw a lot of people to go into 'country and origins settings' on windows, but mine was already set to canada, so far that was the only fix I have found people talking about, but it doesn't work for me.

    I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but your issue is that you're not able to change your gamertag because it is showing you a different currency/region when trying to complete the transaction?

    Can you please try to scroll to the bottom part of your https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag page? Make sure that the encircled part is set to English (Canada).

    Cannot purchase Xbox Live Gold membership in Canada

    Once you create a new xbox live account with a country, you can't change the country after that. There isn't any way to change the country. either you have to create a new account or follow with us account

    You currently have a subscription for another region. If the subscription still doesn't work after changing, contact customer support.

    But I have moved country since I originally subscribed to Gold and I have set my region to the Netherlands on both the XBox and my microsoft account I can't see a way to change my region just for Gold subscription

    Which country do you live in? Code normally cannot be used outside of the country that they were originally intended for.
