Why can’t I access game pass games when I own the PC game pass?

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Kindly try to sign out of your account on:

Xbox app
Microsoft Store
account.xbox.com
account.microsoft.com

Then re-sign in again using the account with an active Xbox game pass for PC and check if you will be able to access the subscription by installing games from the game pass library.

So your saying my family of 5 with 1 pc has to have 5 separate game pass subscriptions to use game pass on there pc accounts? I don't need to do this with the Xbox why is it different on the pc? I should be able to buy game pass for the pc and everyone that uses it has access

No-one here can answer the question as to why. I have no clue why some games are Play Anywhere titles...for example, Forza Horizon 5 (as mentioned above) is a Play Anywhere title developed by a Microsoft owned Studio.....yet, the Halo masterchief Collection is not a Play Anywhere title (I own it on Xbox but had to use the Game Pass version of it for PC) despite also being developed by a Microsoft owned studio (and despite earlier games of Halo Wars 1 and 2 being PA games)

However, in the case of Odyssey, the reason you can play it on PC game Pass is because that includes access to Ubisoft's platform...when you want to play it on PC, you are re-directed to the Ubisoft launcher to play it.

How long do I have access to games within the Game Pass catalog?

Xbox Game Pass members enjoy unlimited access to over 100 great games within Xbox Game Pass catalog, until either the subscription is canceled/expires, or a game leaves the Game Pass catalog.

It's another reason why games in Game Pass are offered at a discount if you want to purchase them in order to own them if/when they leave the catalog.
