Why can only play Minecraft Demo mode when I own the game?

You may have signed in under the wrong account, please make sure that you're signed in under the correct Microsoft account that you used in migrating your Mojang account.

Kindly sign out on your Minecraft Launcher, restart your PC before signing back in then make sure to choose "Microsoft Login"

These steps can help you, give it a try.
Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.
1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app
2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the launcher and also remove your account from the launcher.
3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.
4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.
5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

To install Minecraft Java Edition, go to the Minecraft download page and download the game client. You can download the game client even if you don't own the game, but you will only be able to play the Minecraft Demo Mode. After downloading the client, double-click the shortcut icon to run it.

Hi, I have migrated my account to microsoft, and when I log into minecrafts webside it says that I dont own it, but I have owned it with the same account for years. When I changed my gamertag, and logged out and in with the same account it said I could only play the demo version of minecraft.

For me it opens up the Launcher recognizing my minecraft name but for the Java version (which I previously owned under Majong) it says I can PLAY DEMO. For the Minecraft for Windows it says I can PLAY TRIAL. But I already own Minecraft.
