    Why can I receive messages from individuals that use homophobic words or tell me to "k***...


    It has happened twice so far, where I will receive a message from someone I have played against. In said messages there is always some kind of hate speech or something about how I should, "k*** myself." I instant report the message, but they never receive a ban. I reply back after I get harassed basically, usually ending with me saying something about someone's mother and what I possibly have or am going to do to her. I then get almost instant banned. The last time it wasn't even explicit. So my question is, what is the level of harassment one must endure for a ban to happen, does harassment ever get a soft ban, and from what I've seen, calling someone a [mod removed] and implying they should commit suicide is okay and fine?

    Not all enforcement actions are issued immediately. So you may not see anything happen right after submitting a report. It doesn't mean nothing will happen though.

    No, not used. They claimed that they sent an email stating the reason why they were not repairing it but I haven't received an email from them and they can not tell me on the phone. The individual my husband spoke to said they could not re send the email
    and they do not know why it was not repairable anymore

    I was banned for using mild profanity IE [Mod removed-profanity]. Fair enough if it's part of your Code of Conduct.

    Why however is it acceptable for gamers to use homophobic abuse and or homophobic inuendo without receiving a suspension or even a warning once reported ? Even if it can be quite explicit but not profane.

    If people have used language that goes against code of conduct it will be investigated if reported. However findings of investigations is between Microsoft and the person who's account has committed the infraction.

    He sent a message two days later which tells me he wasn't suspended as he still had access to XBL services

    And thats the problem with todays world. People can dish out a load of abuse and nothing happens to them, the minute they receive something back microsoft ban them.

    no one can even tell me why the guy who messaged me far worse stuff than i messaged him hadnt received a ban, so please explain that to me.

    And the word i used refers to a female dog. Thats not offensive at all, but a suspension was still issued.
