    but the thing is I did not purchace them from the marketplace on my old 20Gb HDD, they came PREINSTALED on the new 250Gb HDD. will i still be able to redownload a preinstaled game on a new HDD which my account has not been on?

    there is a way. I have bought the digital copy and preordered the game. I am allowed to download the game before release. I can now copy and move the game to my external hard drive. then I can bring the hard drive over to my friends house he can copy and
    paste on his xbox. now he has the game allready preinstalled when you put your game in it will play instead of resinstalling since the preinstall will ask for a disk if you tried to play it with out disk
