Why can I not send or recieve messages through the Xbox App?

Sorry for the frustration you are having with your issue. Unfortunately, here on the forums pointing you in the right direction is all we are able to do. When you had a case open have you responded to any of the emails sent to you, letting them know issue
isn't resolved or anything? If they do not get any responses they will close the case.

I know right. Im kinda mad i cant talk to my friends that dont have snapchat or insta. My friends all they can talk to me on is xbox but i cant say anything to them 😭😭

This is the third person openly stating that this issue is happening to them and the third time they been turned away to call support, the second one by you @XBF Brad A. I don't know what power you have in this situation but it's not getting solved. Is there
someway to get someone higher up aware of this issue. I've been having it for over a year. When I called support they just said that they didn't know, needed to consult someone else and would call back within so long, and they never did. That also happened
to the person on the thread you just shut down. This is the third time. This is getting silly.

1. Remove the Xbox app per the PowerShell instructions. Run it as admin.

Windows Key + X > Windows PowerShell Command Prompt(Admin)> Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

2. Then, install the Xbox Identity Provider first:

3. Then install the Xbox app:

1. Press Windows Key+X.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Select Troubleshooting.
4. On the left pane, click on View All.
5. Click on Windows Store app to run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Also, please try: to perform a clean boot, this helps
eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10.

• Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
  
• Step 3-----select show contact options
  
  Step 4 ----select request call from support
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

"This is my update from yesterday where I tried to call Xbox support again: they said "we can't help you, need to direct you to Windows/Microsoft support". Microsoft support agent said after having a discussion with his
superior: "Sorry, I may not help you, please contact Xbox support chat (not phone), only their chat can help you". I was in contact with Xbox support chat from the start and they did not help me so far. Anyway, I tried to contact them again, and then they
said something like: "We did not forget you, it's still an open case, the guy who is on the case will contact you tomorrow". Well, he did not.

One guy from the phone said that there were already 10 ppl involved / on my case. However, I have never received any feedback from Xbox support pro-actively. The only 2 times or so I got feedback in the past months was when I contacted them again to ask
about the status of the case. As a paying Xbox Live Gold member for 15 years I'm especially disapointed about how this is handled. I think one of the support agents said that the case is open since mid-November (I couldn't even remember anymore, it's that
long ago).

If I don't get any feedback on Monday, I will contact them again on Tuesday. I want this finally solved... "

Like I said, this is getting real silly.

Did this when I logged out of my account to have my husband log in with his account. He could send and receive from my xbox app, but when I logged back into my account, the problem was still there. That is why I was thinking this might be an account glitch.

Sometimes when I get this glitch I just have to sign out and back in again. I would try that as well if you haven't
