Why can I not see family members online status in the same household on a different xbox one

Thank you for contacting the Xbox forum with your question. I would first agree with the posts about their setting being set to offline. If you have access to their xbox you can go in and check. If you are the Parent and you want it set to online for personal
reasons you can do this via your PC
Change Xbox Privacy though you can also do it on their Xbox. Though if they are just siblings you may need to ask them if they have changed their settings as they may not have realized they are set to offline.

Its possible there might be a setting on their account that prevents people from seeing their status or they might be appearing offline. Outside of those possibilities im not sure what the issue could be

Mine will do that every so often , everyone will show offline. After i restart my console it goes back to normal. Like stated before they may be set to offline .

I am guessing all Xbox's will have to be in the same home, all sharing the same IP.

That makes too many assumptions about home network infrastructure. In my own abode I can put my consoles on five distinct
IP addresses spread across three different ISPs.



We'll see when the rules are finalized. No sense in debating it now.

Let me share a copy of a $60 collar game with members of my own family, who are on the same XBL Gold Family account, across more than one (like, two) xboxes in the same household.
